Update 29th March
Following distribution of a notice by a local resident we would like to clarify a few points:
Most importantly, the comment in the notice "the owner of the club has confirmed that the permanent building is not going to be built" is simply not true.
The Temporary Building, due to it's design, can be erected quickly, with very little 'disruption'.
It is an attractive log style building from a quality manufacturer, Pinelog.
It would be constructed in a position such that it will not interfere with building the future permanent clubhouse.
The service connections made for the temporary building will be capable of supplying the future building to keep disruption to a minimum.
We have a common goal - to have a smart permanent clubhouse and a community centre for the community.
Given the current situation we believe that an initial step of a temporary clubhouse will be the fastest and most practical way to achieve both of the above. We can be in the temporary building and out of the Community Centre this summer 2008. A permanent clubhouse would be Autumn 2009 at the earliest due to the need for detailed design work, building regulations, tendering and then the actual building and fitting out. Once we have moved out of the Community Centre we can turn our attention to the future clubhouse.
