A superb new golf course in South Cheshire that has unbelievable greens, Open Championship Golf Course DNA and 3 of the most talked about finishing holes in the region. We are the modern and sensible thinking golf club that others are modelling themselves on. A distance of 6456 yards off the Competition Tees and lovely undulating landscape ensures that golfers will enjoy rather than endure their golf at Gorstyhill. There is a wonderful blend of attractive and interesting terrain despite the age of the course. It has matured rapidly and the greens have earned the Club a great reputation over the last 18 months. We also believe the Architect, Hawtree Limited, (who designed Royal Birkdale) has managed to achieve the elusive golfing balance between a challenge and an ordeal. Gorstyhill Golf Club is an independent, privately owned golf course near Crewe on the Cheshire and Staffordshire border. Run primarily as a members golf course whilst allowing a balance of golf societies and green fees/visitors.

The excellent USGA greens are playable all year round (excluding frost), drainage and irrigation help to keep the course open and in great condition for golf in all seasons. Winter golf at Gorstyhill is renowned as the best in the area, and unlike other clubs, we constantly monitor the course during frosty periods every hour- so if we have to start on winter greens we strive to get back onto normal greens asap which is usually after only a few hours! This status is then posted on Twitter for immediate updates to our members and visitors!

The Course Manager, Kevin Clark, and his team look after the course to a very high standard with great attention to detail. They work hard to maintain, present and improve the course for the benefit of the golfers - ask our members!
